These beaches are safeguarded by the Manly Council Lifeguards and Volunteer Life Savers on the specific months of the year. While in Manly, also take time to visit the Sydney Harbour National Park which rests adjacent to Manly Beach. This national park protects the flora and fauna of various sites around Sydney Harbour, featuring some areas with Aboriginal and historic significance.
An oceanway connects Manly Beach towards the famous beaches of Shelly and Fairy Bower. Fairy Bower is a renowned spot for surfing due to its favorable waves and is also closely situated with Winki and Deadman’s, which are among the best surfing breaks in the region. Shelly Beach is a premier inland facing resort on the eastern coast of Australia which has been a hub for snorkeling and scuba diving. Additional facilities of Shelly Beach include a bush track, a kiosk, some barbeque areas, and car parks.
The harbour side of Manly also shelters resorts which provide some swimming and sailing areas. A theme park named “Oceanworld Manly” can be a best spot for your family’s entertainment which showcases a variety of underwater species inside their aquariums. Oceanworld Manly also offers the Shark Dive Extreme activity which allows people to join their sharks in water.
Have a satisfying meal in one of the dining establishments around “The Corso”, which encompasses the area from the Manly Wharf up to the shores of Manly Beach. The Corso also keeps Manly lively by night through a number of bars and clubs surrounding the vicinity.
